I cannot rate this product too highly or recommend it enough. It is easy to use and produces results with just a small investment - $10 to $13 per month. The foam dries quickly, and the slight stiffness it gives the area you put it on helps cover that pesky bald spot in the back (if you still have a decent amount of hair to cover it). It also keeps your hair from blowing around in a medium or less wind, and kind of spikes it up a little in front. The advantage to that is it makes you look less bald in pictures. I have only been using it since last Thanksgiving, and I could see a difference in a couple of months. The young lady who has been cutting my hair for the last 10 years or so says that she has never seen my hair as thick as it is now. I also notice that my hair grows more quickly than it used to, and I have to schedule hair cutting appointments more frequently with her than I did before using this product.

I prefer the foam over liquid rogaine because the liquid gave me horrible dandruff and the foam doesn't give me any dandruff. It also dries much faster than the liquid. I'm not crazy about it having a scent, even though it's not too bad. I've been using it for about 5 months with noticeable growth in the crown area. I'd estimate about 35% thicker than before.
Here's a longer story on my trials:
I'm a 29 year old man with very mild thinning on top of my head and balding in the crown area. I originally started using the liquid rogaine after a year of taking 1mg of finasteride (propecia). The finasteride gave me a decent improvement in thickness. I continued the finasteride while using the liquid rogaine twice a day. The improvement was noticeable and my bald spot was almost completely gone. I pretty much forgot how bald I was before, and I stopped taking the finasteride because of slight sexual side effects and inconvenience of getting the prescription... but I continued the liquid rogaine.
After a few months, I noticed my hair was thining out again.. I was also skipping days occasionally and often only using once a day. After about 4 months, I completely stopped using the liquid rogaine.
After 3 months of not using anything, my hair was much thinner than it ever was. So I began using the rogaine foam, and also switched to using Nioxin level 2 shampoo and conditioner. Unfortunately, after about 5 months, I have not gotten back to the results from when I used the combination of 1 mg finasteride and rogaine twice daily. I'd say the rogaine foam had about the same amount of improvement in the crown area as using the finasteride by itself, maybe a little more.

This is excellent shampoo for thin hair. I've been using it for years. Thank heaven for Amazon.com because I no longer can find this product on any store shelf!(Why do they always do that?) It can dry your hair out a little so I use a light conditioner. I would give it another star if it would just grow hair. Ha! Ha!

This shampoo made it look like I had 3 times the hair that I have. Love this stuff.

Women's Rogaine has worked great for me. My hair was thinning at the front of my hair line and as a women I could not have that. I started using Women's Rogaine in October 2006 and now I have fuller bangs. At first you don't notice its working, then in a couple of months I saw all this new hair growing in. Now the new growth is down to my eyebrows which I find really cool. It was also very easy to use. Just put it on your scalp in the morning and at night and just let the new hair grow in.
So for women who's hair is thinning at the top and at the forehead hairline I recommend this product highly

Im 23 and started losing my hair a few years ago in the front. I have a really bad receding hairline so I shopped around and found kirklands extra strength minoxodil. Its not intended for frontal baldness but I used it anyway and in 2 months I have natural colered hairs where they should be! My natural hairline is full of small hairs. They are small and are just now starting to really grow but they are there. I bought a 4 month supply for the cost of a 1 or 2 month supply of rogaine so Im ready to see what happens in the next 2 months. I wouldnt fool with the regular strength when the extra strength works so well. One of the reasons it works so well for me is because im young and everyone is different but I would definetley recommend this product.

This product causes my scalp itch to a degree that I never knew was humanly possible. Literally it's like the itch demon fairy princess from hell came and was digging into your scalp with an "itch-wand" that has needles at its ends dabbed with poison. I kid you not. This doesn't occur right when I put it on, but I'll get itch attacks during the day. And when these attacks occur, dare you even touch one follicle of hair in the area where the Rogaine was applied, the painful scratchy sensation increases a thousand fold. In other words, it itches like crazy, but if you try to scratch it, you will see the gates of Hell looming before you, as it punishes you for even attempting to try to relieve some pressure off your head.
Will I keep using it? I don't know... I can honestly say my mental ability to stay laser focused has increased n-th fold as I am getting my daily practice during these itch-attacks. My hair in the front looks pretty good, but it in the back, not so much. . . Until I get a wife, I think I will keep using it, and then shock her as soon as I drop the Minoxidil after we get married. She'll be stuck to me anyhow. . . .

First I want to say that I have no connection to Rogaine, other than I've been using it for over a year now. I'm not being paid in any way. I'm writing this to help other balding guys.
I'm 46, I noticed my hair getting thin when I was 18 or 19. For me it happened slowly. It was the early 80's and there were no real solutions yet. In the mid-nineties I began to hear about Propecia and started to take it daily in 1997. I still had bit of hair on top, but it was very thin and I felt that it was only going to be a few more years before I would be a "bald guy". The Propecia was expensive, like $50/month back then. But over the course of several months it did seem to halt my hair loss, and it even reversed it a bit. But the truth was that I had lost a lot of hair in the front and on the crown that just didn't seem to want to come back. I was happy enough with the hair that I had preserved that I kept using the Propecia.
I had also tried Rogaine, years ago when it first came out. It was this sticky thick goo, that I could not understand how any balding guy could use twice a day. My hair would have been matted to my head. Might as well get "Hair in a Can" lol.
Then like a year and half ago I noticed Rogaine Foam. I bought a can and used it for a month. At first I did it only once a day, in the morning. The foam is much easier to manage and really acts like styling mousse. I'll tell you, I'm a skeptical guy, and did not expect real results but this stuff grew back a lot more of my old hair. I am using it twice a day now. I'm very happy with the amount of hair that has already regrown and I keep noticing new hair growth all the time.
Here's the deal, no product currently out is going to give you back the hair like you had when you were a kid. But I'm the oldest of three boys and when I see my brother, who is six years younger, he is still jealous as hell that he's totally bald and I've got quite a nice hear of hair. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it and I don't think anyone would even consider me "balding" anymore.
One poster stated that the Rogaine melts away in his hand. I think he is not taking advantage of the can design. It's long, narrow nozzle allows you to put the product directly on your scalp, through your hair. No need to put it in your palm at all.
This is a description of my daily Rogaine regimen. I've fine-tuned this procedure by experimentation over the course of several months, it works for me, it might help you...
In the morning, directly after getting out of the shower, I towel dry my hair, then while it is still damp, I dispense five or six small blobs at different points on my scalp. By small, I mean nickel sized blobs. I do this with a hand mirror, leaning backward looking into the mirror on the wall to precisely place each blob. Then, still leaning backward I use my index finger to spread each blob around to cover most of my scalp. I only treat the balding area. Then I face the wall mirror and carefully rub and massage my entire scalp to better disperse the Rogaine over my scalp and hair.
I blow dry and style my hair and that's it for the morning.
In the evening, an hour or so before bed, I perform a second application. But this time I apply it to my dry hair, still using the two mirror system. Then I run a wet comb through my hair to evenly spread the Rogaine over my hair.
One thing that tripped me up for awhile was trying to clean my comb. The Rogaine leaves a white residue on the teeth of your comb that is hard to get off. I bought one of those comb bottles like the barbershop has. I soak the comb in a combination of alcohol and Barbicide. That keeps it pretty clean.

It's been 3 weeks since using this product for the first time. I found it so far so good and will try to re-order for a month or two more.
